Pet Care by Lu

My name is Talulla Allen (or Lu), and I am and always have been a huge fan of animals. Common to uncommon, big to small, I’m excited to spend time with your creatures.

I have the most experience with dogs. I was actually born into a household with five dogs and grew up with at least two at home at any given time. I am comfortable with essentially any animals, and have experience owning and caring for tortoises, geckos, guinea pigs, hamsters, and cats. I also have experience handling other animals such as snakes, spiders, and other insects without issue.

Suffice to say, I am no stranger to animal behavior. I know everyone and every pet has a routine they follow, and I strive to help maintain that routine for the pet as best I can in an owner’s absence. I understand it can be stressful to be away from your pet(s). Once, when separated from my pets, I started narrating the fish in the lake my family was visiting because I missed doing so for my own pets! I do my best to ensure I take pictures and videos to help update and reassure owners that their pets are being taken care of.

Some Background

I graduated Rockville High School and Montgomery College, and am currently pursuing a bachelor’s in Simulation and Game Design. My schedule is quite flexible and I live right by Barnsley Elementary. I am most accustomed to walking with and cleaning up behind two dogs, but can make more work.

I have a lot of experience with (and fondness for) elderly dogs, but also elderly pets in general. Don’t hesitate to reach out about what your individual pet may need; I’ve changed dog diapers and cleaned up accidents, so I won’t be too intimidated!
